We took a drive by the Gilbert Temple under construction the other day...

....it is starting to look really beautiful...

...still not sure if we will be in that Temple District

 but I think and hope so...

Mother's Day 2012

Since we weren't going to be in town on Sunday for Mother's Day, the kids came through a little early....
and I loved it....

Flowers - Candles - Cards - Chocolate - 

and a dvd of 3 Sam Elliott movies....

Who could ask for anything more....?

Angie's little kitty, DV (dryer vent) has disappeared...

...she didn't really have 'devil' eyes 

but lookin' kinda scary here...

...she wasn't an inside cat but she did sneak in 

whenever she got the chance...

(this is mom's chaise by-the-way)

...she kinda thought she owned the world

but we will miss her anyway... :( 

Ethan gets baptized!

Ethan turned 8 on May 21, 2011

and got baptized on June 11, 2011...

Summer fun updated...

I haven't posted for a while because we have been having

just too much fun...

*Dayla came for a visit about 10 days ago and
except for an occasional marathon of
"So You Think You Can Dance" and "Glee" episodes
we have been running pretty constantly...

*My mom and sisters, Marci & Shelly, came for

Ben & Breann's wedding events

...and since the wedding wasn't until 5 pm on Saturday

we had a good time soaking up some sun by the pool...

...unfortunately I didn't get any pix poolside
but maybe that's a good thing....

*The next day some of us were able to take a little 'jaunt' up to the cabin for a little R&R...

Father's & Son's...

It's that time of year again...
...the traditional - the wonderful - the exciting...
Father's & Son's Campout!

This year Kevin & Ethan, Todd, and the Dad all piled into the Subaru Forester and headed for Pivot Rock, a campsite just north of Strawberry...the dads tried to talk the sons into staying overnight at the cabin on a soft bed but Ethan would have none of that...

They met @ Kevin's (their ward got the draw this year) and packed up all their gear and headed out... Upon arriving, friends were found and there was much fun to be had...

As soon as the tents were pitched...it was time to eat... and of course there will be hotdogs...

...and a fire...
Let's see how many we can put on one stick, Ethan...Ethan?...Ethan?...OK!
Oh forget it...a rock will be easier...
Todd wants to try out his new equipment...
Stew-in-a-can is the way to go...
Hey...this stove works pretty good...
Mmm...tasty....I wonder if those hotdogs are done yet?
In the morning...breakfast burritos hit the spot...
"Dad, will you take us on a hike...?"

"Right now... pretty please... we're asking nice!"

And the hike is long...but will it be worth it...?

"Oh look...there's a cave....!"

"Camping is great...but I think I'm ready to go home now."

Mike, Elaine and Bill and Aaron's folks did a great job in planning, decorating and making all the food...
We've had many a wedding here so this is a good memory                  for the ole' spread on Lexington...
